"Yes I'm a Witch" is the first remix album with songs by Yoko Ono was released in 2007. Numerous prominent musicians and star producers then put their hands on the catalog of Ono's songs and transferred them to a completely new, often danceable, but sometimes also abstract context - including Peaches and Le Tigre, Porcupine Tree and Cat Power, The Flaming Lips and Hank Shocklee. Just as new, unabashed and courageous, the Hamburg duo DEWS is now dedicating itself to the oeuvre of Yoko Ono as part of a song cycle specially developed for the COME TOGETHER EXPERIENCE. Under the heading, which is not without reason based on the title of the remix album mentioned, the two musicians Pola Levy and Maurice Meyer delve into the music of Ono in their very own way. Coming from Hamburg's underground, they set out to explore the inner triangle of hidden desires, lust and magic. With their powerful and mysterious-sounding pop songs, written for road trips and shimmering backrooms alike, DEWS tell of trying, of failure and of new beginnings. Maurice Meyer's driving, rhythmic guitar playing combines with moody, captivating synth melodies that set the stage for Pola Levy's energetic and haunting voice, which oscillates between awakening and melancholy.
